Ring in the New Year with a Berkshire Tradition!
Back by popular demand for a third unforgettable year, Max Creek returns to The Colonial Theatre this New Year’s Eve! A beloved staple of the Northeast music scene for over five decades, Max Creek defies categorization—fusing rock, country, reggae, soul, jazz and calypso into a sound that’s entirely their own. Joyful, dynamic and endlessly engaging, their performances are more than concerts—they’re celebrations.
With a catalog of more than 200 songs and a reputation for crafting epic, free-flowing sets on the fly, Max Creek invites audiences into an experience that’s spontaneous, heartfelt and alive with connection. Expect everything from soulful ballads to deep jams, raucous rockers and crowd sing-alongs—all delivered with signature Creek warmth and energy.
The core trio—guitarist Scott Murawski, keyboardist Mark Mercier and bassist John Rider—have been playing together since the mid-1970s, now joined by powerhouse rhythm section Bill Carbone and Jamemurrell Stanley. Together, they create a musical family whose sense of camaraderie radiates from the stage and draws in generations of fans. It’s not unusual to see longtime “Creek Freeks” dancing beside their grown kids—or grandkids.
In a world where longevity is often tied to stardom, Max Creek has done things differently. They’ve been big, small and everything in between—but always authentic. They didn’t follow trends—they followed the music. And in doing so, they’ve built something enduring, joyful and completely unique.
Join us for a New Year’s Eve celebration filled with music, community and decades of Creek magic. There’s no better way to welcome 2026 than with a band that’s been bringing the party—and the heart—for more than 50 years.
