Join us for an unforgettable & transformative experience where community, music, & movement come together. All members of LGBTQ+ community (18 & up, unless have parental consent) and experience levels are welcome to come and celebrate truth, resiliency, & emotion.
This is a safe space where all are invited to explore how music and movement can help you return to gratitude, wellness, & being grounded. In challenging & changing times we are always better together. This is an open-style class where many musical genres will be explored while we celebrate & bring our stories to life.
INSTRUCTOR BIO: Angel is a highly intentional, imaginative, certified Master Trainer, with a lifetime of dedication to fitness and wellness at the age of 42. With a focus on dynamic strength and functional fitness, Angel creates a customized journey that harnesses his diverse background (which includes owning/operating successful rage rooms, being a top-rated axe master, holding a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, as well as spending 8 years as a nurse - to name a few). Angel will meet you where you are, and create a lasting, impactful, and personally enjoyable experience that will allow full access to master your own journey…on your own terms. Utilizing his own full collection of cutting-edge equipment, every client is promised an unforgettable and inspiring experience! No matter your fitness level or life experience…you are worthy of your goals and dreams.
HELP MAKE THIS CLASS AS DIVERSE AS POSSIBLE: Because in these rapidly changing & challenging times, it is important the whole LGBTQ+ community have spaces where they can come together to have fun moving in ways that work out and transform complicated emotions, and move us in the direction of our true nature, which is grounded & grateful. To help make this class as diverse as possible, please invite your LGBTQ+ friends & neighbors to come with you -- so they will know at least one person. And please invite people of all ages (18 & up), abilities, races, religions or none, & fluidity or solidity in how they express gender, sexual orientation, love, and identity. We wamt to embody the rainbow in all its subtle & bold shardes
DONATIONS/SCHOLARSHIPS/WORK-EXCHANGE: There is a sliding scale ($10-$20/class or 10 classes for $75) and scholarships & work-exchange are available for people who are low-income. Funds are used to pay instructor, rent (to UU Pittsfield), & Q-MoB for registration & promotion of the class. No one turned away for lack of funds. Hope you’ll check us out & bring friends. We receive a grant from Berkshire United Way
ACCESSIBILITY: This space is relatively accessible for men with mobility challenges, but if you have questions about accessibility or may need accomodations, let us know.
WHAT TO BRING
DIRECTIONS/PARKING: Feel free to park on the street. If you have mobility challenges & need to park close to the entrance, let us know so we can try to accomodate.
ALCOHOL POLICY: Because this event is open to men 18-20, we ask you not to bring alcohol or cannabis or dishes containing either.
CARPOOLING/RIDE-SHARE: Carpooling is a great way to get to know other men, save money on gas, and help to reduce your carbon footprint and save the planet. If you need a ride or are open to carpooling, please indicate that when you are registering, & our ride coordinator will try to match you with people nearby who are interested in carpooling or offering rides.
OR : Please donate $10-$20 to help assure Q-MoB can continue to offer more than 20 activities & multiple resources & services to rural queer men all over the region. If you attend 2 or more Q-MoB events/month, please consider becoming a monthly sustaining donor member. By donating $25, $35, $50, $75, or $100/month you can help to sustain the incredible variety of activities, services, and resources Q-MoB provides and assure all of these activities are accessible to men regardless of their age, income, or ability, and best of all you can avoid having to donate at each and every event you attend. Monthly Sustaining Members pay only once a month and then can attend all our activities with no further donation.
