Every participant will receive a FREE ticket to the world premiere of SOLE in the Berkshires on July 3 at 7:00 PM at the ’62 Center for Theatre and Dance at Williams College.

Quynn Johnson is an award-winning multidisciplinary artist whose work lives at the intersection of arts, education, storytelling, and social impact. A graduate of Harvard University and Howard University, Quynn is a nationally credentialed teaching artist, recipient of the Kennedy Center Local Dance Commissioning Project Award, and co-founder of the internationally recognized percussive dance company SOLE Defined. Her work has impacted more than 85,000 students and educators across the United States, Uganda, South Africa, St. Thomas, and beyond.

This special master class explores Quynn's innovative approach to movement, rhythm, creativity, and what she describes as using the arts as a vehicle for empowerment, self-expression, and community transformation. Participants will engage with the principles behind her arts-integrated and abolitionist-inspired teaching practices—approaches that center imagination, collaboration, critical thinking, storytelling, and life skills as essential tools for personal and collective growth. Through movement and dialogue, attendees will experience how artistic practice can foster leadership, confidence, creativity, and social awareness.
