The Fourth Trimester
This class is expertly designed for women who have recently given birth. Participants will receive a movement, muscle, and joint screen by a Doctor of Physical Therapy specializing in the pregnant and postpartum woman. Participants will complete four weekly group-based classes designed to help them re-connect with their breath, abdominal muscles, and pelvic floor. Classes will be tailored to the participants with individual focus given to each woman’s recovery. Participants will learn how to properly engage their deep abdominal muscles and pelvic floor to prevent and resolve pain and incontinence, regain their balance, and learn techniques/exercises to prevent mastitis. Participants will regain confidence in their movement and bodies to bridge the gap between childbirth and return to work, fitness, and parenting.
