Self-Care as an Artist or Arts Administrator of Color
Join GPAC's Diversity Catalyst Cecile Shellman for the fourth of a series of monthly workshops focused on diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion. The series hopes to bring the community and the public together to discuss often “uncomfortable” topics that must be unpacked and addressed.
Self-care is paramount when navigating the arts and culture world as an arts employee of color. This discussion will draw from experiences and best practices as we glean from each other’s common wisdom and care. Join GPAC's Diversity Catalyst for a lunchtime discussion on managing stress as a person of color in the arts and culture environment.
All are welcome.
ABOUT THE SERIES
The Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council is hosting a new workshop series focused on important topics in Greater Pittsburgh’s arts and culture community centered on diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion – also known as DEAI. Each workshop is hosted by GPAC Diversity Catalyst Cecile Shellman, who is a longtime advocate for DEAI practices in the arts. The series hopes to bring the community and the public together to discuss often “uncomfortable” topics that must be unpacked and addressed.
