- **Event Description**: Join us on the first Friday of each month for a free open house at Pittsburgh Glass Center! Bring the whole family to experience exciting narrated glassblowing and flameworking demonstrations in our studios, browse handmade glass art gifts in our retail shop, and explore the contemporary glass exhibition in The Hodge Gallery.

In The Hodge Gallery, visitors can explore "To Hold..." our current exhibition by Detroit artist Lauren Kalman. The show is a meditation on desire, control, and loss, represented with blown glass vessels imprinted by puppet-like bronze castings of the artist's body. On view through August 3.

Enjoy live, narrated flameworking and glassblowing demonstrations throughout the evening. In the Hot Shop artist Jaime Guerrero will create a piece inspired by the imagery of an eye, symbolizing "the need for collective awareness and the importance of witnessing and documenting injustice." Flameworking demonstrations will also take place throughout the evening.

All ages are welcome!
