AHYP Club Scotches and Small Plates Pairing

The historic AHYP Club in downtown Pittsburgh has teamed up wtih Breakthru Beverage and Chef Kenny Cumberland of Bistro to Go to present our scotch and small plate ngiht. Guests will have the chance to sample six different scotches and enjoy corresponding small plates crafted by Chef Kenny.

This event is open to all, members and non-members. Come on out as we celebrate spring's arrival with some fantastic drink, food, and company!

Scotches Include:

Monkey Shoulder Scotch: Blended Scotch from Speyside
Benriach 10 year: Single Malt from Speyside
Dalmore 14 year: Single Malt from Highlands
Westland Whiskey: American Single Malt
Bruichladdich Classic Laddie: Islay Scotch
Bruichladdich Octomore 15.3: Islay Scotch

And the food? Here are the small plates on tap from Chef Kenny:

First Course
French Onion Dip served with Root Vegetable Crisps

Second Course
Frisee and Stone Fruit Salad served with Herb Ash Vinaigrette

Third Course
Maple Roasted Carrots

Fourth Course
Porcini Gnocci Roasted mushrooms and herb salad

Fifth Course
Short Ribs
Corn parsnip puree with toasted tree nuts and preserved orange

Sixth Course
Smoked Blackberry and Marscapone Ice Cream served with mint and bourbon infused caramel shards

Info: The lounge will be open at 12pm and stay open through the event.

Info: The tasting event starts at 6pm. Perhaps arrive a bit earlier, maybe have a beer or just relax in our genuine 1930's era lounge.

Info: The formal tasting starts at 6pm. We expect it to last approximately two hours, give or take.
