BYOB.A little bit of history >> The Moulin Hall celebrates 70 years in 2026.Situated in the hamlet of Moulin just up the hill from Pitlochry and nestled at the foot of Ben Vrackie, its life as a community space first started in 1956 with a mammoth fund-raising project run by the original committee by Moulin holding markets, dances, whist drives and an Easter Fair.An impressive target of £2,000 was raised over 6 years (from 1949-56) to qualify for a matching grant from the Scottish Home Department to secure and renovate the 200-year-old building which was initially built as a school before being used as a launderette before becoming a derelict shell.Today, the Hall offers affordable hall and kitchen facilities for small independent community events. It is used by some fantastic local groups of all ages young and old - including the Pitlochry Repair Café, the Bridge club, Scottish Country Dancing, Yoga, Pilates, Ballet, Singing Groups, Kids dancing club, Art Exhibitions, Workshops, Community New Year Drinks Party, Coffee mornings, Burns suppers as well as numerous children’s parties and a Christmas party concert for the senior citizens in our community.We are so delighted to be able to provide affordable facilities for such a broad range of events that bring so many people together.
