Meet like minded adventures and enjoy a coffe and cake on us at the finish!Walk informationDistance: 9km (6 miles)Ascent: 310m (1,020ft)Duration: 3.5 hoursDifficulty: ModerateThe WalkWe’ll start and finish at the Regatta shop on Atholl Road in Pitlochry. The route takes us through Pitlochry to the “bouncy bridge” near the Port-na-Craig Inn. From there, we follow the Rob Roy Way up the hill to reach Clachan an Diridh – an old stone circle called the “stones of the ascent”. We continue along the Rob Roy Way for a short distance to reach a good viewpoint and then retrace our steps back to Pitlochry. We’ll walk over the Pitlochry Dam and have coffee and cake at the visitor centre before returning to the Regatta shop.Meeting pointThe start and finish of the walk is the Regatta shop at 132 Atholl Road, Pitlochry, PH16 5AB.Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the start time.What to bring with youWarm, lightweight layers. A waterproof jacket and, if you have them, waterproof trousers. Wear sturdy practical footwear, such as hiking boots or hiking trainers. Some food and water – we will stop for a rest and food break during the walk, but no refreshments are provided.There may be ticks present during much of the year. Wearing full trousers and long-sleeved tops can help to minimise the risk from ticks.Health issues and medical conditionsWhen you book on the walk, you will be asked about any health issues, illness or medical conditions which may affect your ability to complete the walk. Many conditions can be managed during a walk, but it is important that you provide information about these and any Medic*tion that you need to bring with you. Failure to disclose a medical issue could affect you during the walk and place others at risk. Any information will be treated in strict confidence.You will also be asked to provide contact details for a close friend or relative in the event of an emergency.
