We asked Pitlochry High School’s pupils to draw, paint, print , collage and photograph the very hall itself. Every artwork will be on show in the hall as a special Art Gallery Event to celebrate the Hall’s 70th birthday!The Hall was established as a Community Hall in 1956 following lots of fund raising by the community. Now, 70 years on, it is still a thriving hub providing a space for many community events and gatherings. We wanted to celebrate with our community, and thought a birthday party coffee morning with an art show competition would be a wonderful combination. Before it was a community hall, it had been a school - so to link with Pitlochry High School was very special to the committee.We will have a raffle and tombola, and all donations on the day will go towards Hall funds.Competition is sponsored by Jennifer Wheatley of The Perthshire Gallery, Bonnethill Road, Pitlochry, Scotland. PH16 5BSThe celebrations will continue later into the night with a Ceilidh from 7-10pm, where we will be joined by the Confolens Ceilidsh Band and some members of the Theatre Choir.
