Calumet Players Children’s Theatre Presents Three Youth Productions This March
Performances March 27–29 at the Pipestone Performing Arts Center
Pipestone, MN — The Calumet Players Children’s Theatre is proud to present three youth theatre productions this March, showcasing the talents of local students from Kindergarten through 8th grade. These fun, family-friendly performances will take place March 27–29 at the Pipestone Performing Arts Center.
Directed by Amberlie Haak and Collene Landgren, the Children’s Theatre program offers a supportive, after-school theatrical experience that encourages creativity, confidence, and collaboration among young performers.
This season’s productions include:
“Oz – A Journey With Friends”
(Kindergarten–1st Grade)
A kid-friendly trip down the Yellow Brick Road that introduces young audiences to the magic of Oz through friendship and imagination.
“Christmas in the Land of Oz”
(2nd–4th Grade)
A festive adventure set in everyone’s favorite magical land, filled with holiday cheer and familiar characters.
“When Bad Things Happen to Good Actors”
(5th–8th Grade)
A fast-paced comedy for older youth, packed with theatrical mishaps, humor, and larger-than-life characters.
Rehearsals for the productions began in January and take place after school, giving students hands-on experience in live theatre while balancing school commitments.

These performances are perfect for families, friends, and community members looking to support local youth and enjoy an entertaining evening at the theatre.
The Pipestone Performing Arts Center is located at 104 Main Street East (Pipestone). Guests can park in the freelots surrounding the theatre, in the First Farmers & Merchants Bank parking lot or the City Parking lot behind the Historic Calumet Inn Hotel. The Box Office is located in the lobby of the PPAC; this is where guests can check in, use the restrooms and be guided to their seats before enjoying the performance.
Tickets are $10.00 for adults, and $7.00 for students. Advance tickets can be purchased by visiting the PPAC website at www.pipestoneperformingartscenter.com, or by calling the Box Office at 507-825-2020 or 877-722-2787 (Tuesday through Friday, 12p-4p).
