- **Event Description**: Come join us for a very special Earth Day workday at the Pinole Library on Saturday, April 25th, 10am-1pm! 

We will be putting the finishing touches on a habitat restoration project that has freed Pinole Creek's banks and native trees from the stranglehold of invasive ivy since November 2025!

Parking is available at the Pinole Valley Community Church (2885 Pinole Valley Rd.) since the library is closed for construction. 

The ivy jungle has been fully cleared and we are now ready to plant native plants to enhance habitat for wildlife and hold in the creek banks. We will also build wire cages to protect the tender new plantings from hungry deer, which we often spot along the creek! 
 
Please bring sturdy footwear, dress for the weather, and bring gloves, planting tools, and a water bottle if you have them. This site will provide a lovely public spot to enjoy the tranquility of Pinole Creek and its myriad wildlife. Come celebrate Earth Day by pitching in on this project to benefit the Pinole community!
