About the event
Justice for Nova
We will meet at 12:30 to rally before the arraignment outside the justice center.
We will be gathering at the courthouse to attend the arraignment of Lamyah Rumph, who stands accused of brutally abusing Nova—a defenseless dog subjected to unimaginable cruelty. Rumph is charged with beating Nova, covering her in hot sauce and pickle juice, and violently throwing her into a crate with such force that it bent the door. As a result of the attack, Nova suffered three broken ribs, a fractured pelvis, and internal injuries. According to the veterinary report, there are also clear signs of previous abuse.
We will be present in the courtroom to demonstrate our unwavering support for the enforcement of Florida’s animal cruelty laws and to stand in solidarity with the voiceless victims of abuse. Our presence sends a powerful message: animal cruelty will not be ignored or excused, and we expect those responsible to be held fully accountable under the law.
