- **Event Description**: Join us as we cover some common, gentle but effective herbs for children, safe dosages, & what to avoid for the very young--and the elderly.About this EventSometimes folks tend to think of herbal teas and remedies as being suitable for all ages, but not all herbs are safe for little ones, and certainly the dosages are different for various age groups, and are dependent on weight as well.Join us for a workshop covering some common, gentle but effective herbs, safe dosages, and what to avoid for the very young (and the elderly).You'll take home recipes that support various common conditions, and learn to make them taste good enough for kids and picky folks. We'll cover how to make several helpful products, including soothing teething blends, tummy soothing digestive aids, sleep tight herbal tea blend, immune herbal syrup for cold and flu, and tender skin salve for owies and baby bottoms.In class you'll be making:* Immune Herb balls* Children's Herb Syrup for cold and flu symptoms* Soothing Owie & Tender Skin Balm* Tummy Settle Digestive herb blend* Sleep Tight herbal tea                                                     ...and taking them home with you!There is no previous experience necessary for this workshop. We will go over everything with simple details and instructions. Feel free to ask any questions along the way. There is so much we can do to help our little ones and this is a great way to be introduced to gentle herbs and easy to make herbal support products. Additional recipes to make at home will be provided in the handouts.Fee includes instruction, handouts, the products you make and take home, and an organic delicious lunch (complete with dessert!)
