The 2026 demolition derby season at the Perry County Fairgrounds in Pinckneyville begins with the 29th Annual Bunny Bash to open the Triad of Thunder Championship Series campaign and the 54th year of derbies at the fairgrounds.
The battle for the Huggamania Championship belt begins anew as drivers in the Mini Gut-N-Go, Mini Van, Full Size Semi-Stock and Skull & Bones Full Size classes battle it out to see who ends the season in October in golden glory.
This is the third year of our points system, with the following places earning points in the standings: 1st (10 points); 2nd (8 points); 3rd (6 points); 4th (4 points) and 5th (2 points).
Mad Dog is worth 7 points and the points for Mad Dog and any of the top five places do combine (I.E. 5th place and Mad Dog would earn you 9 points for that class).
Drivers who run multiple classes will have their point totals combined into the Harold Pierce Memorial Cup (overall points leader across all classes) standings.
Passing inspection on the first try gets you an automatic 10 points and every car that makes it out on the track gets an additional point.
