Join Rangers to compete in the Texas Birding Classic.
We will be conducting a big sit along the Lost Pines Trail. We will be at the leg out to the lake from the Lost Pines trail.
We will be set up with a table, a few binoculars, and some birding fun! If you plan to join us you will have about a 1/4 mile hike on mild sandy trail to reach our "sit" location.
Please bring a chair you plan to hang around and contribute some birding numbers to the teams!

When: May 2nd - 8AM-2PM

Meet: Lost Pines Trail - Near Lake - On the trail map it is Point of Interest #2 "Lakeside Life".
There will be signs directing you to our location from the Lost Pines Trailhead.

Who: All ages welcome

Bring: Water, trail shoes, a folding chair, binoculars optional but recommended

Reminders: All ranger led programs are subject to weather cancelations. Check back here for the most up to date weather cancellation information.
Please dress for the weather.
Attendance to this event is open to the public and free AFTER regular day use or camping fees.
Park frequently meets capacity and day use reservations to the park prior to arrival are encouraged to ensure entrance into the park. Reservations can be made on our app or at www.texasstateparks.reserveamerica.com
