February 24th, 6:00pm-8:00pm - $30 per student

Our two-hour class teaches you how to build a practical, realistic emergency plan for the 
threats you’re actually likely to face — house fires, medical emergencies, power outages, 
severe weather, and the logistical chaos that follows any major natural or manmade 
disruption.

In this class we’ll discuss: 
- Assigning roles in advance
- Communication plans for regular people
- Prioritizing threats
- Preparedness, Response, and Recover
- Maintaining the plan
- Basic tabletop exercises
- Building and maintaining your plans

All attendees will also be given a document they can use to build their customized 
emergency plans for their family. Our goal is to give you the tools and framework to help you 
be better prepared to respond to life’s crises. 

A note about the instructor: Samuel Schmitt has a certificate of Emergency Management 
from Auburn university and experience helping individuals and organizations craft their own 
response plans.
