Introduction to Functional Skills English

This course is an introduction and assessment for the Functional Skills English course.

Learning outcomes include:

An enhanced assessment to look at their suitability for the course and what levels they will be working at

Access to a skills direct work coach

Personal development plan

Information, Advice and Guidance from the work coaches

Sign posting to any areas they need for example extra courses or health and employment information

Plan of learning for the Accredited English functional skills course that starts at the end of the four weeks

This course will take place on Mondays – 15th September – 6th October 2025

This course is open to learners with few or no qualifications aged 19 years plus (in August ’25) who are in need of a English qualification
