- **Event Description**: Duane Pohlman of Local 12 WKRC in Cincinnati, will be hosting a televised town hall meeting in Piketon, OH. The local activist group Don’t Dump on Us is helping to organize the town hall. The meeting will take place on Saturday, April 12th, at 2 pm, at the Piketon High School Auditorium.  PLEASE ARRIVE AT 1:30 pm. This meeting is for EVERYONE in Pike, Scioto, and all of the surrounding counties! The purpose of this town hall meeting is to focus solely on cancer victims and their families, and for the other victims who are suffering with other major health issues as well. It will also be an informative meeting to discuss the current and upcoming plans of the former uranium enrichment plant and the land surrounding it.  We will be inviting local representatives from both Pike and Scioto County Commissioners offices, local health departments, the Dept. of Energy, Ohio Dept. of Health, Portsmouth Site Specific Advisory Board (SSAB), Southern Ohio Diversification Initiative (SODI), and others. THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO BE HEARD! We need the community to show up in a big way! If you have a unique story that you would like to tell, please comment below or message us. Do you have a large amount of family members who have been diagnosed with cancer, yet they haven't worked at the plant? Have you received any letters notifying you not to drink from your well, eat from your garden, and to not allow your children to play in the soil on your property? These are the things that we need to hear! Have you or a loved one been diagnosed with a rare condition, or have you been told that your health issues were caused from the water, soil, or air? If you have had a loved one pass from something that you believe has been caused from the former atomic plant, we encourage you to bring a picture of them with you. Even if you don't want to speak, we encourage EVERYONE to please come and hear what's being said! Share this with everyone you know! Nothing will ever change until enough people say they're tired of burying their friends and family! We hope to see you there!
