Smoky Mountain Photo Safari

Join professional photographer Colby McLemore for a photographic adventure through one of the most iconic landscapes in the Great Smoky Mountains—Cades Cove. Known for its sweeping vistas, historic cabins, and abundant wildlife, this valley offers endless opportunities to capture the spirit of the Smokies.

There will be instruction throughout the safari, but Colby’s easygoing style means you can ask questions anytime. Whether you’re shooting with a cell phone or a DSLR, you’ll pick up practical, down-to-earth tips to help you see and photograph more creatively.

You’ll travel by van or bus with short walks—never more than a half mile—to reach scenic spots. This free event is part of Wilderness Wildlife Week in Pigeon Forge, celebrating the beauty, history, and community of the Smokies. Registration with event staff is required the day before the safari.
