CELTIC TRIBAL APPALACHIAN AMERICANA! Tuatha Dea is pure primal energy with a Celtic and World twist. The bands eclectic sound blends the tribal vibe of primitive drums with conventional and non conventional instruments such as guitar, bass, modern and Native American flutes, Didgeridoo and more as well as a myriad of vocal styles to create a truly unique sound. Born of a family drum circle, the group delivers an authentic tribal and clannish feel that not only draws the audience into the music but into the moment and family as well. Their rhythmic groove naturally inspires audience participation which has become a staple of their performances. From the beginning the band has embraced its Celtic heritage and meshed the traditional music of Scotland, Ireland and Great Britain with the pulse-pounding heartbeat of the drums to produce unique versions of traditional favorites like Aillein Duinn, ““Whiskey In A Jar”, “Loch Lomond” , THE GAEL”, GRANNY’S BEDTIME TONIC and others. The group’s eclectic nature also incorporates a rock, blues, new age, world and even punk edge into their repertoire of material to further widen their appeal. Tuatha Dea’s original music  includes a vast catalog celebrating their Celtic connections such as “CELTIC WOMAN ", "IRISH HANDFASTING", "LONG BLACK CURL", "OPEN LETTER TO YOU", “IRISH EYES” and “THE BLACK DOUGLAS “. The band has a broad array of mainstream ROCK compositions  as well including crossover tunes  like, " FALLING DOWN , "MORGAN LA FEY", “WISP OF A THING,  HOW I ROLL, MISS ME WHEN IM GONE, AMY and others. Appalachian tunes like KILTS AND CORSETS, GET ALONG HOME, and GONE, GONE GONE present TD as a creative force pushing their own boundaries. 

Hailing from the Smoky Mountains the family band organically blend their Celtic, Native American and Tribal roots into an Appalachian, Americana Rock vibe that transcends category and genre. 

Receiving rave reviews for their unique style the group tours widely performing at Celtic Fests, International Fests and a multitude of venues in the states from Coast to Coast! 

The group has been featured at Floydfest, Rythm and Roots, North Carolina's Grandfather Mountain Highland Games, The Montauk Music Fest, Canada's Kaleidescope, Florida's Paralounge, Connecticut's Newtown Benefit, Bowling Green International Festival, Gatlinburg Scottish Highland Games, Upper Michigan's Copper Hammer Highland Games, The Hard Rock Cafe and a host of other Festivals across the US and Canada. 

Performing with such acts as Paul Simon, Kacey Muskraves , Brandi Carlyle, Seven Nations, Albannach, Celtica, Raithkelter, Barley Juice, Soar Patrol, Wendy Rule, Alto Reed,and many others Tuatha Dea brings their unique flavor vibe and sound accented visually by their energy and flamboyant stage show!

Tuatha Dea is a Gaelic phrase adopted from the Celtic mythology of the Tuatha de Danaan whose literary history originates in Ireland and Great Britain. The name “Tuatha Dea” literally translates into “Children of The Gods”. The band’s Celtic influence stems directly from this historical clan which lived and ruled for a period in ancient Ireland and who were later destined to become the stuff of legend and basis of Celtic mythology.
