It will soon be the season to plan for delicious perennial fruit and berry plants in your outdoor spaces. Plant edible fruit trees and berry bushes and watch your backyard become a sweet haven of shade, fruit and more supportive of important pollinators. 

This class is led by Blake Berry, local agriculture instructor and recognized 2021 SC agriculture teacher of the year. Blake has inspired and equipped students of many ages within our community in horticultural and agricultural instruction.

During this class, Blake will guide you on the essentials of successfully growing your own fruit and berry trees, how to plant perennials properly, proper maintenance of your bushes and trees, and tips for choosing and growing the most popular southern backyard fruits like figs, blackberries and blueberries and more.

You'll enjoy on-the-farm, hands-on learning with plenty of real-life demonstrations and useful hands outs that will help you as you apply your new skills and knowledge to your own backyard. As a special, ticketed class participant in our Fall Plant Sale Event, you will have first access to our selection of plants for sale to help you get started on your backyard, fruit-tree goals.
