The premise is deceptively simple. At each performance, an actor walks onto the stage having never read the play they are about to perform. They have been instructed not to research the script, not to prepare, and simply to show up. Waiting for them is a sealed envelope containing Soleimanpour’s play. The actor opens it in front of the audience and, from that moment forward, performer and audience discover what happens together. With no prior staging and no opportunity to rehearse what comes next, each performance unfolds in a state of vibrant, exhilarating tension. Funny, mischievous, provocative, and at times deeply unsettling, White Rabbit Red Rabbit explores questions of obedience, power, freedom, choice, and collective responsibility while continually shifting the relationship between playwright, performer, and audience. Written by Iranian playwright Nassim Soleimanpour while he was unable to leave his country, the play became a way for his words to travel where he could not: a long-distance dialogue between the author, a performer he has never met, and an audience gathered somewhere in the world. Since its premiere in 2011, White Rabbit Red Rabbit has become one of the most widely travelled plays in contemporary theatre. It has been translated into more than 30 languages and performed more than 3,000 times around the world, with performers including John Hurt, Whoopi Goldberg, Nathan Lane, Stephen Rea, and Dominic West. - **Event URL**: https://allevents.in/picton/county-stage-company-present-white-rabbit-red-rabbit/200030764315945 - **Event Categories**: performances, entertainment, art, theatre, literary-art - **Interested Audience**: - total_interested_count: 3 ## Ticket Details ## Event venue details - **city**: Picton - **state**: ON - **country**: Canada - **location**: 31 King Street, Picton, ON, Canada, Ontario K0K 2T0 - **lat**: 44.00742 - **long**: -77.14565 - **full address**: 31 King Street, Picton, ON, Canada, Ontario K0K 2T0 ## Event gallery - **Alt text**: County Stage Company Present White Rabbit Red Rabbit. - **Image URL**: https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events7/banners/ee93aacd510d94ff5d8f8eac8bef07e68bad0aaa6a09e0e621576b6fc55fff4b-rimg-w1200-h1600-dcb8c8c8-gmir?v=1790986304 ## FAQs - **Q**: When and where is County Stage Company Present White Rabbit Red Rabbit. being held? - **A:** County Stage Company Present White Rabbit Red Rabbit. takes place on Fri, 09 Oct, 2026 at 07:30 pm to Fri, 09 Oct, 2026 at 09:30 pm at 31 King Street, Picton, ON, Canada, Ontario K0K 2T0. - **Q**: Who is organizing County Stage Company Present White Rabbit Red Rabbit. ? - **A:** County Stage Company Present White Rabbit Red Rabbit. is organized by The Andrew Picton. - **Q**: Who is this event for?
