PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE Performances will take place in Picton, Prince Edward County throughout September. 10 performances over three weekends. Rehearsals begin in July and will primarily take place in Picton. ──────────────────── ? THE GUEST LIST We're assembling an ensemble of approximately 20 performers, with roles ranging from performers in their 20s through 70s. The company will include: • The bride and groom • A wildly dysfunctional wedding party • Parents, siblings, cousins, and unforgettable relatives • A priest • Wedding singers and musicians • A photographer • Caterers • Friends, exes... and the guests who somehow always end up in the middle of the drama We're looking for performers who: • Think quickly and enjoy improvisation • Love creating bold, memorable characters • Are comfortable interacting with audiences • Work well as part of an ensemble • Are ready to commit fully and have fun Many roles involve singing, but strong singing is not required for most performers. Whether you're an experienced actor, an improviser, or someone looking for the perfect project to get back on stage, we'd love to meet you. ──────────────────── ? COMPENSATION **Paid Non-Equity Production** Performers will receive compensation through a profit-share model based on the overall success of the production. ──────────────────── ? WHAT TO PREPARE No monologue required. Please come prepared for: • Cold readings • Improvisation exercises • Group work If you're a singer, you're welcome to prepare approximately one minute of an '80s or '90s pop song. Singing is optional for most roles. ──────────────────── ❤️ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION As the story unfolds during a lively wedding celebration, some roles involve dancing, light physical comedy, flirting, and staged romantic contact (including kissing). All physical interaction will be discussed beforehand, choreographed where appropriate, and performed only with the full knowledge, consent, and comfort of everyone involved. Some roles also require an Eastern American Italian dialect. Coaching and resources will be provided during rehearsals. ──────────────────── ?
