🔥🎅 Blacksmith Christmas Ornaments Class 🎄✨
Do you enjoy Christmas and the crafts that come with it? How about ornament making? If so, join us in Santa’s Blacksmith Workshop at the historic Hagood Mill Historic Site, where you can learn to smith your own Christmas ornaments!
In this beginner blacksmithing class, students will gain a foundational understanding of the blacksmithing craft while creating festive holiday ornaments under the guidance of historical demonstrator Kevin Thompson of Electric City Forge. No prior blacksmithing experience is necessary.
Students will learn basic blacksmithing techniques and have the opportunity to forge several ornaments such as Christmas trees, candy canes, icicles, and crosses.
Throughout the day, participants will also learn about:
Safety in the blacksmith shop
The history of the craft of blacksmithing
The fuel and materials used in blacksmithing
How to build, maintain, and use a coal fire

Date: November 29, 2025
Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with a one-hour lunch break from 12:00–1:00 PM)
Cost: $140
Ages: 12+ (Students under 18 must be accompanied by an adult)
Class Size: Minimum 4, Maximum 6 students
👕 What to Bring:
Closed-toed shoes, long pants, and a long-sleeved shirt
Safety glasses
Water bottle
Lunch (not provided)
