Building Resilience in Challenging Times 🌿 2.5 day training in Thailand

Are you working with communities on the frontlines of change?
How can we maintain resilience when facing unpredictable challenges—locally and globally?
What helps communities not only respond to crisis, but prepare for and bounce back from it?

We invite you to a 2.5-day immersive training dedicated to Building Resilience in Challenging Times 🌿
This gathering is designed for practitioners, organizers and community builders who are already deeply engaged in creating and sustaining communities—especially in regions most vulnerable with social, ecological and economic disruptions.

🌱 Together, we will explore:

• Empowering communities to respond to multiple, overlapping crises
• Identifying and mitigating blind spots
• Community-led regeneration in complex systems
• Practical tools like the Resilience Tracker to support clarity, action, and learning
• Learning from GENOA community leaders with diverse experiences and knowledge

The training will take place at the serene All Green Learning Center in Pak Chong, a beautiful space in the forest for deep connection, reflection and collaboration.

This training is designed for individuals who are 😎

• Actively involved in community work – such as ecovillage or community residents, grassroots organisers, educators, regenerative projects, designers, permaculture practitioners… to name a few.
• Engaged in climate justice, social transformation, or ecological regeneration at local, regional, or global levels.
• Working with communities impacted by or responding to social, ecological, or economic crises.
Interested in deepening their understanding of resilience as a practical and systemic approach to change.
• Open to learning in a collaborative, participatory environment that values lived experience, mutual support, and collective wisdom.

We especially welcome 🌱

• People from marginalised or frontline communities most affected bydisproportionately impacted by multiple crises
• Participants from across the Asia-Pacific region (though others are also welcome)
• Individuals who are new to GENOA network but actively working in aligned areas
• Those with practical experience in community building, even if they haven’t used “resilience”, “ecovillage”, language before
Whether you’re new to the Global Ecovillage Network or already part of its wider ecosystem, this is a space to pause, recalibrate and co-create resilient pathways forward—grounded in practice and collective wisdom.

• Transportation: Bus departs from Bangkok at 13.00 on November 27 and returns at 10.00 on November 30
