The last year and beyond have been a bit hectic to say the least. We've maybe felt isolated, alone, or even disconnected even though we've probably used Zoom or FaceTime more than we ever have. Anxiety and depression has been reported to be at an all time high among individuals. We want to help create a shift in the trend.
So let's try something new. MEDITATION! Learning to meditate can seem kinda scary, overwhelming, or kinda hokey. That's why we are hosting this workshop with one of the pros.
Dr Ralph Potter has a passion for empowering transformation in others toward a fulfilling life of love, health and happiness. With degrees in Nursing and Naturopathic Medicine, he has been in Healthcare for more than 30 years, and a Certified Hypnotherapist for 20 years. Seeing amazing powerful change in people led to his focused work in helping people "from the inside out".
He is involved with community volunteer activities with St Mary's Food Bank, and Boys to Men, and also enjoys hiking and long bike rides. His own practice of meditation keeps him grounded and focused.
We are excited to have him as our guest and to learn from his skills and experience.
This even is FREE.
However, attendees are encouraged and welcome to bring a "love offering" donation ($5-$10) to benefit the non-profit organization Boys to Men.
Boys to Men works to provide group mentoring that is boys and single mom focused, where they are safe to remove the armor and get real with peer and trained mentor support. They partner with the Kyrene and Tempe Union districts, offering programs at Centennial, Akimel Kyrene middle schools and Mountain Pointe High school.. Men support the boys as they face the obstacles that stand in the way of becoming good men. Using guided questions, they explore the impact of their stories, attitudes and choices, while learning integrity, accountability and compassion. Trained mentors listen, accept and encourage the boys as they step into positive change that will serve them during this challenging stage of development.
