Since its description by Dr. Nuss over 20 years ago, the technique has changed markedly. Improved techniques to eliminate bar rotation, prevent intercostal stripping and safer passage of the bars under the sternum have been developed. The course will cover modifications for adult pectus patients, techniques for recurrent or failed prior surgery, and modifications for mixed defects.The Advanced Pectus Course is an interactive course, presented by pectus surgical professionals who will deliver constructive and detailed lectures, along with embedded videos of live cases designed for pediatric and thoracic surgeons.
