Kirk Jones’s I Swear is a compassionate, social-realist biographical drama based on the remarkable true life story of John Davidson, an activist living with Tourette’s syndrome. Set in 1980s Scotland, the film chronicles his struggles with an often misunderstood condition and his journey to become a pioneering campaigner for awareness and acceptance.

With an acclaimed central performance from Robert Aramayo and a supporting cast including Maxine Peake and Peter Mullan, the film balances humour, heartbreak and dignity as it explores community, identity and resilience against prejudice.
