Nate Jones, Freddy Larrosa, & the GardenHouse Records team are pleased to invite you to our first official Song Seeds retreat: a weekend of music production focused on collaboration and empowering each other’s creativity.
On Friday night, we will be performing and opening for an incredibly talented medicine music artist from Brazil by the name of Porangui. This show will take place at the Chocolate Church Arts Center in Bath, Maine, from 7-10pm. Guests are welcome to check into the Airbnb at 5 PM and head to the show when doors open at 6pm.
Following the concert, we will have an after party and introductory jam session with snacks and elixirs and then rest up for a weekend of creation.
On Saturday and Sunday, we will have three workshops each day, from 10-12, 2-5, and 7-9, with lunch at 12:30 and dinner at 5:30.
Each workshop will focus on a different aspect of music creation and production, from rhythm, harmony, and melody, to live performance, basics of sound/audio, and recording techniques, as well as lyrical development, song structure/composition, and vocal coaching.
Throughout the weekend, we will also be workshopping several songs that are currently in production at Gardenhouse Records, with opportunities for attendees to be featured as session musicians on these tracks, as well as the opportunity to present their own material for group collaboration and studio time with experienced audio engineers.
The investment for this retreat is $888 for private room (earlybird price $777 until Oct 1) and $555 for shared accommodations. Bring your own mattress/van camping/commuter rate $444.
This also includes delicious organic meals by our chef and herbalist, Bear.
