Yep thats right trading off on Cello) A reminder: We have decided to move our dance to The Mettabee Farm dance barn, 551 Harlemville Rd, Hillsdale NY. http://www.mettabeefarm.com The Timeline: Waltzing 7:00- 7:30 PM, Contradance. 7:30 -10:30 Family Dance 6 -7 pm Dance Admission: Adults: $15- 20 Students: $10 Children age 7-14: $7 Children under 7: Free Details about Mettabee Farm: This lovely wooden hall is about 15 minutes from our old chatham location and offers many benefits including a great wooden dance floor, Improved air circulation, warm ambiance and a beautiful setting. There’s a parking area that is maintained in winter and a generous gathering space for visiting and snack. We have loved dancing in the Morris Memorial Hall and are grateful to them for hosting us all these many years. The venue has requested that people dance in soft soled dance shoes, socks or bare feet in order to preserve their wooden floor. Mettabee farm has a no cell phone policy. Cell phones can be used in times of necessity/ emergency, but please be discrete. We would like to support their efforts to maintain a phone free environment during dances. Please refrain from any running in the dance hall. Covid-19 policy (updated) 1- Please, Please, do not come to dance if you have ANY symptoms, are feeling “under the weather’, recently tested positive for COVID-19 or were in close contact with someone who tested positive. We cannot stress this enough. If you are feeling unwell or suspect you might have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, do yourself and everyone else a favor and stay home. 2- The Columbia County Contra will monitor the CDC Covid tracker for both Columbia and Berkshire counties leading up to our event. (View Tracker) If the tracker indicates either county is experiencing a spike in new cases, the dance may be canceled for that month. For the dance to be canceled, the CDC tracker will indicate red AND the total number of active cases will exceed 0.5% of population (300 in Columbia County and 600 for Berkshire County) The dance will cancel if both of these thresholds are crossed. Please double check our website www.cococontra.org for updates before coming out to dance. In the event of a last minute cancelation, we will also send out an email. We will be dancing unless otherwise stated. 3- We will not be checking vaccination status. All are welcome to dance, assuming you are in good health. 4- Dancers, spectators and performers are welcome to wear masks, however, mask wearing is not mandated at this dance. 5- There are several other regional dances with differing Covid 19 protocals in our region and we encourage you to find a dance that makes you feel comfortable.
