This is a chance to be part of history, right here in our hometown! 🇺🇸

On Veterans Day, the America 250 / American Discovery Trail Relay will pass through Philippi as it carries a copy of the Declaration of Independence across the country. Whether you walk, run, bike, or use a wheelchair, you’re invited to help carry the baton for a portion of the route.

We’ll gather at Midtown on Main at 8:30 AM, and the relay begins at 9:00 AM.

Early registrations really help the relay organizers estimate participation and fill each leg of the route. You can still sign up later if needed, but registering now is a huge help!

This incredible coast-to-coast relay begins on July 4 at the Golden Gate Bridge and will make its way all the way to Washington, D.C. We have the honor of representing Philippi and Barbour County along the journey.
