This class will link breath and movement as well as strengthen and stretch your body and mind. Accessible to all levels of experience.?: 10:00 AM - 11:15 AMMODES OF COMPOSITION with ABIGAILInfo: What moves us? How do we get an idea to materialize? What makes you feel creative? In this laboratory styled workshop, we will experiment with various ways of generating. Through a series of collaborative and individualized exercises, movers will investigate how curiosities turn into physical expression. We will gather inspiration from words, sounds, images, textures, and external & internal impulses. Bring a notebook, pen, and a sense of play!?: 11:15 AM - 12:30 PMCONTEMPORARY EXPLORATIONS / VAULTA REP with TORIInfo: A grounded and embodied movement practice drawing from Bartenieff Fundamentals, Graham, Pilates, and Horton techniques. Dancers will work through improvisational prompts, structured exercises, and phrase material that encourage both technical development and personal artistry. This class is focused on being fun, upbeat, and loud while focusing on jazz technical basics.?: 03:00 PM - 04:15 PMEAST AFRO CONTEMPORARY with ISAACInfo: East Afro contemporary dance class is inspired by the vibrant rhythms and traditional dances and musics of East Africa! This class involves energetic footwork, grounded hip and torso articulation, and a fusion of traditional and contemporary African Movements.No experience needed-just bring your joy, your energy, and your love for dance.?: 04:30 PM - 06:30 PMCURRENT  CONNECTIONS: Artists Gathering & NetworkingInfo: Join us for an evening designed to bring artists, movers, makers, and creative thinkers together. This gathering offers a lightly facilitated space for conversation, collaboration, and creative exploration. We'll begin with a guided improvisation jam. Throughout the evening, attendees are welcome to engage with a variety of interactive stations, including sketching materials, creative prompts, and a community inspiration wall where participants can contribute ideas, reflections, questions, and resources through a "take one, leave one" exchange. Artists and organizations are encouraged to bring business cards, flyers, event announcements, or other materials to share at our community resource table.
