- **Event Description**: Thursday Run to Human Robot Olde Kensington!
Cantina La Martina is back in Kensington. After closing their own restaurant last fall and telling the neighborhood they'd find a new home nearby, they've landed inside Human Robot on 5th Street, and they've been open there less than two weeks. Thursday we go see for ourselves.

It's been thirteen months since we ran to the original Human Robot, which feels wrong for a spot this close to home. The 5th Street tasting room is where it all started: a brick-walled room, a small brewhouse tucked behind it, and a lager list that runs Czech, German, Mexican, and Irish before it gets to anything hazy. Get a milk tube if you've never had one.

The timing is good on the beer side too. Tin Hoagie is back for football season, the 4% American light lager they bring around every fall, and they just dropped Dry Hopped Light, the same beer with a hit of Citra on top. Two easy-drinking options that are going to feel very correct after a run.

And the food. Cantina La Martina is run by chef Dionicio Jimenez, a James Beard nominated chef, and his wife Mariangeli Alicea Saez. The menu at 5th Street is burritos, tacos, wings, and nachos, with vegan options on the board. They already run the kitchen at Human Robot Jenkintown, so this is a team that knows the building.

MEETUP DETAILS Thursday, September 24th 6:30 PM start Meet underneath the old water tower in the Piazza next to Urban Village Brewing Company, 1001 N 2nd St The run ends at Human Robot, 1710 N 5th St.

WEATHER PERMITTING All of our runs happen weather permitting. We are fine with rain, but if there's lightning or the sky is genuinely dangerous, we'll call the group start off. If that happens we'll do our best to post on Instagram and update the website before 6:30, so check there first. The hang is still on either way, so come meet us at the bar regardless.
