After reaching out to the Mann Music Center, and confirming dates of events on Calendar posted . It looks like the the best date for Fireworks on the water on the Schuylkill River is July 21st 2022. Thursday night. Concert starts at 8:00 Fireworks view to follow around 9:30-9:45..

Meet 6:00 pm 6:30pm on the water at the public parking lot near Temple Boathouse on the Schuylkill River.

NOTE: The fireworks are being set off at the Mann Music Center which is ONE mile away as the bird flies. We will be able to see them in the distance at least over Fairmount Park. Fireworks are visible near bandstand area on the river.

PLEASE bring lights for your kayak. Have at least one bright light that can be seen from all directions attached to your boat on on your boat and wear your life jacket.

Get creative and have fun with the lights.

This section of the Schuylkill has a very slight current. There are very few places along the route to stop/rest but it is an easy paddle. with some awesome statues, artwork, a few bridges and the Philadelphia Skyline.

Be ready to launch by 6:30 pm. We will paddle towards Boat House Row to watch the sunset.
If you cannot make the start time do not worry!! Paddle towards Boathouse Row and you will be able to find us easy!

Be aware this paddle is in Philly (can be crowded, not so clean in some places, we are there in the dark at the end of the paddle. You can thank Candie Leusner and A Good Paddling. This was one of the best paddles in 2021. Don't want to miss it in 2022.
