Join us as we eat our way through the heart of Polish PhiladelphiaAbout this EventDESCRIPTIONWe can’t think of a better way to spend time than on a walking food tour of the Port Richmond and Fishtown neighborhoods of Philadelphia, diving into the rich flavors, traditions, and old-world character of one of the city’s great working-class immigrant food corridors. For generations, Port Richmond and surrounding neighborhoods were the heart of the Polish community of Philadelphia. A community shaped by families, churches, corner shops, bakeries, butcher counters, and the kind of food that was never meant to be dainty. While the neighborhood has changed over time, it still offers some of the best places in the city to find classic Polish specialties, handmade baked goods, old-school meats, and a few delicious surprises along the way. This tour is about more than just filling your stomach. It is about culture, memory, survival, craft, and the people who kept these traditions alive across decades of change. Expect a hearty mix of neighborhood history, local flavor, and plenty to taste as we SEEK out classic specialties, EXPLORE the stories and communities behind them, and WANDER the streets where Polish Philadelphia still feeds the city.Put on those walking shoes, grab a bottle of water, and bring a friend or two!Designed for ages 12+.Approximately 2.7 miles worth of walkingThis is a walking and eating tour of the city.
