It is scheduled for Saturday, August 8th from 1:00 – 6:00 pm. Volunteers arrive at 11:30 am.Each year, we welcome our Kensington neighbors to enjoy a day of fun and hope in this often dark and hopeless neighborhood. We will feature tons of kids' activities, live music, boxing and grappling exhibitions, free food, all kinds of fun for young and old, and – of course! – the Good News of Jesus Christ.We’ll need lots of volunteers to staff all the activities, and we invite you to join in. Come spread the love of Christ on our urban mission field!We will have only one volunteer shift for the whole event so plan on a long -- but FUN -- day! VOLUNTEERS PLEASE SIGN UP FOR ONLY ONE ACTIVITY FOR THE DAY. We want to maximize the number of volunteers that come and help!!Each volunteer must register separately. Ages 16+ must register online. Under 16 may work alongside parents without signing up.Volunteer check-in will be at 11:30 am at our location:2755 Kensington Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19134 (for those taking public transportation, we are at the Somerset El stop).For any questions please email Chalie Vidra at charles.vidra@therockphilly.org.
