Each session focuses on one specific piece — such as bag charms, magnets, earrings, matchbooks, bookmarks, keychains, or button sets — allowing you to create a cohesive and polished final product.Planned Project Suggestions:March: Lucky Charms- Bag CharmApril: Custom Magnets May: Statement EarringsAll materials are included. No prior experience is necessary. When you arrive your clay will be portioned for you, tools supplied, and the instructor will walk you through all the steps required. This workshop is designed to be approachable for beginners while still offering room for personalization and creative expression. You’ll learn foundational techniques for shaping, adding texture, creating structure, and finishing your piece. Depending on the project, we’ll also cover simple assembly methods using basic hardware. Throughout the session, your instructor will share insights into materials, techniques, and resources for anyone interested in continuing their clay practice at home — or you can simply come for a relaxed, creative night out.Come with ideas, or arrive ready to experiment. Either way, you’ll leave with a finished piece you designed yourself.About your Instructor:Grace Larivee is a designer with a love for storytelling, nostalgia, and the details that make a space or brand feel alive. Her work blends tactile and digital elements, drawing from environmental graphic design to create experiences that feel warm, intentional, and a little unexpected. Grace believes design should feel personal — like a well-loved notebook filled with sketches, notes, and inspiration — and aims to craft work that invites people in and leaves a lasting impression.About the Location:This event is located in the Starr Garden Playground rec center. When you enter the gates for the playground you will walk to the right of the building to the entrance that is facing Lombard Street. The rec center is mostly used for after school programs and kids camps but is empty in the evenings so they allow us to have adult programming. You're welcome to bring your own water bottle or snacks, and there will be light music and a social studio atmosphere rather than a classroom.Organized by The Craft Coven, this event is part of a community oriented series of creative enrichment projects focused on affordability for all.
