Car-free streets for seven Sundays this spring.About this EventCenter City District (CCD), with support from Rittenhouse Row and the City of Philadelphia, will transform one of Philadelphia’s most popular shopping and dining destinations, 18th Street from Locust to Chestnut and Walnut Street from Broad to 19th, by temporarily closing streets to vehicular traffic.During these closures, pedestrians are invited to stroll eight blocks of car-free space while enjoying shopping, dining and activities for all ages. CCD will provide ambient entertainment, including acoustic musicians, dancers and an appearance by the Easter Bunny on Sunday, April 5.
