- **Event Start and End Date**: Sun, 27 Sep, 2026 at 02:00 pm – Sun, 27 Sep, 2026 at 04:00 pm
- **Event Description**: A Dancing Freedom JourneyAbout this EventWhat in you is waiting to break free?We carry old patterns, expectations, fears, and ways of being that may have protected us once, but eventually become too small for who we are now.Sometimes this happens collectively, too.As a culture, as a community, as a nation, we inherit ideas about how we are supposed to live, who gets to have power, what we should value, and what we must accept as simply the way things are.But what if they aren't?Liberation begins when we realize something can be different. What are you ready to shake loose? What old pattern is ready to break? What might move through you if, for a few hours, you gave yourself permission to be completely free? We'll dance with the elements, with one another, and with the wisdom that emerges when a room full of people begins moving, breathing, and listening together. As always, no dance experience is necessary. There are no steps to learn and nothing to get right. Just come as you are.I hope you'll join us as we remember that we are not just individuals dancing in the same room, we are part of a living circle, creating something none of us could create alone. Please note: For the summer months we will be returning to the Parlor Room, where we'll have the comfort of air conditioning as we dance.Come as you are. Leave glowing.YOU NEED A CODE TO GET IN!37283****Doors will close at 2:15pm****to create a safe spacePlace: Summit Presbyterian ChurchCommon Room(downstairs)6757 Greene StreetPhiladelphia, PA 19119Sunday, Sept. 27th, 2-4pmEntrance on Green st. through the courtyardthere will be a code by the doorMonetary Offering: $25Tickets available at the doorVenmo @Amber-Johnston-3What is Dancing Freedom?A Practice of liberationDancing Freedom is a monthly guided movement meditation—a living ritual that carries us through the sacred elements of earth, water, fire, air, and ether. We don’t just dance with these elements—we remember them within us. In our bones, in our breath, in the quiet, ancient depths of our being. Earth grounds us, water softens and flows, fire ignites and transforms, air opens and expands, and ether invites us into the mystery of the unseen. As we move, we awaken to the truth that we are not separate from these forces—we are them. Each month offers a new theme, a subtle thread to follow—guiding us gently toward healing, toward deeper listening, toward a more honest expression of the body’s wisdom. This is a practice of liberation. A somatic, ecstatic, and shamanic journey that supports the unfolding of living oneness—within ourselves and with each other. All are welcome here. Every age, every body, every color, every gender, every path. No experience is needed—only a willingness to arrive as you are. When we gather, we enter in peace—co-creating a space of presence, transformation, and belonging. A space where movement becomes medicine, and community becomes a remembering.we come to know who we already arehttps://www.dancingfreedom.com
