In this interactive session, kids will learn how to build their own percussion instruments using recycled materials and explore rhythm through play.This workshop highlights the power of creativity and sustainability—showing how everyday objects can be transformed into music-making tools.Please note: Registration for this workshop is separate from the evening performance and space may be limited.What to BringParticipants are encouraged (but not required) to bring a recycled item to turn into an instrument, such as:Empty soda cans or plastic bottlesToilet paper or paper towel rollsSmall boxes or containersAny other clean, recyclable materialsDon’t worry if you can’t bring anything—materials will also be provided on-site.Come ready to create, make noise, and have fun—then stick around or come back later for the evening performance at 6 PM!The evening performance is supported and funded by Philly Jazz Month and Creative Philadelphia.
