His work has appeared in Billboard, Complex, GRAMMY.com, MTV News, SPIN, Stereogum, UPROXX, and other publications. Earl also co-authored Raps of Resistance: How Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole Reignited a Hip-Hop Tradition, and is a recent fellow of the National Critics Institute.Dr. Jeremy McCool is a media scholar, author, and Associate Professor of Digital and Global Media at West Chester University. His research examines the intersections of hip-hop, media, technology, education, and social change, with a particular focus on socially conscious hip-hop, digital storytelling, emerging media, and how marginalized communities use media and popular culture as tools for resistance, learning, and empowerment. He is co-author of Raps of Resistance: How Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole Reignited a Hip-Hop Tradition.
