"Music Is Medicine.  When I play guitar, and I’m swimming in the sound waves, the music is healing me emotionally, physically, and spiritually.  I offer healing invitations with each composition so that you might also receive similar benefits.  

May this music bring you an appreciation of your goodness and a deeper sense of interconnection.  May we all continue to challenge ourselves to grow with honest self-reflection so that we may more clearly channel love.  That is why we are here.

The title track is “I of the Storm.” This piece is about how having a mind is like being in a storm, and there is a place in our mind and in our bodies and in our spirits that is like the eye of the storm, that is quiet and still.  It is through that space that we can access the feeling of being interconnected with everything. In that space, we can always draw a sense of calm and balance as you listen to this music, find that space of quiet inside of you and breathe into it, and notice how it can help you feel more connected to everything around you. Raji Malik is a “music medicine” man who offers a transformational experience wherever he plays. He has performed and recorded hard rock and instrumental Indian-influenced music in the Philadelphia area for the past 30 years.  He is self-taught and began playing the guitar at the age of 19.  Raji’s initial musical influences were the great rock guitarists Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), Jimi Hendrix, and David Gilmour (Pink Floyd).  Then he discovered Shakti, featuring 3 masterful Indian musicians and guitar legend John Mclaughlin playing a modified sitar-like acoustic guitar.  Raji promptly put away his electric guitar and immersed himself in the pure tones of the acoustic guitar.  Raji finds deep inspiration in many brilliant “Modern Fingerstyle” guitarists, all of whom are disciples of the late Michael Hedges, who reinvented the acoustic guitar with his harmonic, percussive playing.  Raji hopes that his music brings peace, healing, and inspiration.
