About this Event

Join this intimate tour to get hands-on with history. As we celebrate the US 250th, Daily Life in the New Nation highlights decorative arts used in Stephen Girard's Philadelphia home in the years after the American Revolution. Visitors will be able to invited to look closely and even to handle selected items of ceramic and silver as the tour explores life in the Early Republic through household goods--how they were made, acquired, and used and what they can tell us about the bigger issues of the day.
