- **Event Description**: Join PAEA Region 12 for an Encaustic Workshop!About this EventParticipants will learn skills and techniques for working with encaustic paints, led by local artist and art educator, Leah Macdonald, in her Roxborough studio. In this three-hour hands-on workshop, participants will create and take home an encaustic and mixed-media work of art. The ticket price covers the materials fee, and participants are encouraged to bring a wood panel or wood substrate in any size or type under 11 x 14 inches. (1 large or a few small is fine.) Ampersand Encausticbord is available through a variety of art suppliers if you are looking for a fancy option, but wood from your local hardware store works too. Cardboard is also an option for encaustic work, and cardboard will be available on site to participants if needed.Check out Leah's website at https://www.leah-macdonald.com/Participants will receive 3 hours of Act 48 credit.Please note that the artist has dogs.
