His career focused on protecting the nation from cyber threats and he has deep experience managing complicated questions surrounding intelligence and surveillance of adversaries. General Haugh served as the Director of the NSA and U.S. Cyber Command until April 2025. General Haugh was commissioned in the Air Force in 1991 and spent much of his career working on issues related to intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance, and then cyber security. He commanded the US Cyber National Mission Force, the 16th Air Force, and as Deputy Commander of the United States Cyber Command before becoming Director of the NSA and U.S. Cyber Command in 2024. He will be in conversation with Dr. Michael C.
