She has taught art for nineteen years and holds a B.F.A., having studied under Jack Whitten. Scott's paintings, photography, and sculptures are intended to resonate with viewers. Her work is often inspired by her experiences as an Afro-Cuban, Polish-Jewish, lesbian woman and mother. She was recognized in 2021 by Essence Magazine.
