# Event Details - **Event Name**: Cement Sculpture with Laura Lyn Stern - **Event Start and End Date**: Mon, 24 Nov, 2025 at 06:00 pm – Mon, 15 Dec, 2025 at 08:00 pm - **Event Description**: In this class we will create two different pieces using two different cement molding methods.About this EventIn this class we will create two different pieces using two different cement molding methods.First we will start by carving and shaping floral foam and then will use cement to coat, strengthen and stabilize the shape.The second sculpture will involve several steps. We will use wire to design a structure and flexible screening to create planes and solidity. Concrete will be layered on to the screened surface to coat,strengthen and stabilize the shape.Once the pieces are totally dry, surface embellishment can proceed. There are many options: paint (acrylic, watercolor, oil) , paper mache, collage, mixed media mosaic are all options.This will be a four week class. By signing up you are committing to all 4 sessions.You can sign up for this class in person beginning November 3rd .
