- **Event Description**: Join Love Now Media to examine AI bias and public policy and build a community strategy to protect culture and demand change.About this EventFrom AI-generated imagery that amplifies racial stereotypes to algorithms that quietly discriminate in hiring, lending, and education, the tools shaping our world are too often built without us and used against us. At this month's AI Advocacy Lunch, Love Now Media brings together storytellers, policymakers, and community members to examine how artificial intelligence is reproducing the very inequities that DEI initiatives have spent decades working to dismantle, and to build a shared strategy for fighting back.We will be joined by Christopher Norris, Chief Strategy Officer at StoryCorps, who will explore how media literacy and intentional storytelling can protect diverse communities from AI-driven narrative harm and keep culture from being flattened, stereotyped, or erased. Pennsylvania State Representative Darisha Parker and a Philadelphia City Councilperson will help us understand what public policies are currently being debated, how residents can actively engage with the legislative process, and what community-centered advocacy looks like in practice.Together, we will ask what each of us can do as neighbors, organizers, storytellers, and decision makers to ensure that the communities AI most threatens are the ones leading the conversation about how it gets governed.Agenda🕑: 12:00 PMLunch Conversation🕑: 12:15 PMIntroduction to the Issue🕑: 12:30 PMChristopher Norris - Chief Strategy Officer at StoryCorps🕑: 12:45 PMPA State Representative Darisha K. "description": "Love Now Media is an empathy-centered distribution company that uses storytelling to advocate for social justice and wellness. We lead impact-focused conversations and activities that produce outcomes. We serve universities, museums, and communities that are on the brink of change. Love Now Media of CultureTrust Greater Philadelphia is a project of CultureTrust, a 501c3.\r\n \r\nLove Now Media is a concept born in the middle of protests. Our founder, Jos Duncan, had been leading cultural diversity programs and documenting protests for justice. Most of the advocacy work was a reaction to injustice, violence, inequities, racism, and social ills. There were real people at the center of that work whose mental and emotional wellness was at stake. Nevertheless, people were gathering in houses, coffee shops, community centers, and on vacant land to build upon it and make transformational change. There were stories of compassion, solidarity, and allyship working together to make progress; that looked a lot like “love.” The spirit of that work serves as the impetus for ours. We tell those stories and we offer services for those whose work is in line with our mission.\r\n"
