It is part of the Bhakti Yoga tradition, the Yoga of devotion.Together, we will be chanting simple, yet powerful mantras to a melody accompanied by the harmonium and drum. Singing and chanting mantra positively impacts our physical and mental health, and collectively we all benefit from the vibration.The chants will be led in traditional call and response, and other times we will chant as a collective group.During our time together we will explore 3/4 different mantra, with pauses in between for poetry and stories about the mantra.Holly Hood has been leading Kirtan since 2017.Holly uses mantra in her own life on a daily basis to support her raising her two young children!Holly studied with Nikki Slade and has accompanied Nikki to festivals in the UK to offer Kirtan.This session is open to and accessible to everyone.You don't need to be a singer to join us, just the desire come and enjoy this beautiful heart felt practice!***Please arrive no more than 15 minutes before the event.
